This cave girl's remains were found inside of the Theopetra Cave in 1993, in the central Greek region of Thessaly making her an ancient Thessalonian. Scientist used silicon to reconstruct her face and she's named Avgi, which is Greek for Dawn. Her bones are that of a 15 year old but her teeth indicated that she was 18 years old when she died and in poor health. They are still doing excavations in the cave and hopefully they will discover other remains to at least to reveal that she was not alone. Today some of us live hard knock lives but when I think about how her life must have been I look at my 15 year old granddaughter and I thank God for the life she lives. Avgi's facial expression and protruding jaw reflects pain and anger.
