This 14-year-old youngster is on the fast track…skipping grades in elementary school to The School Without Walls (a magnet school public high school) in Washington, DC racing to his freshman year of college attending George Washington University by way of GWU Early College Program! Curtis Lawrence III is his name and you will assume that he’s an average kid…and then he speaks… “You can’t just let education come by you…You have to stop education right there and say, is there any way that I can change you; that you can be different so that I can learn the way I want to…So that I can be interested in what I’m learning and so that I can be this advanced, so that I can have a successful future.” ~ Curtis Lawrence III Curtis and his younger brother Corey have the bar of making exceptional grades set by the foundation of their parents. Corey is proud of his brother’s accomplishments; he aspires to follow his footsteps. Curtis’ mom Malene Lawrence says that a “C” is never an acceptable grade for her sons...Unless in the spelling of their names. Curtis hopes to continue his education at Florida A & M to study Computer Science and Paleontology. Corey wants to attend Hampton University and become an astrophysicist. Step aside, look out the Lawrence brothers coming!
